The season 6 of this series was #20 in the overall rankings.

Even though the fate of the series has been decided by the CBS officials, I feel that the series did not deserve to be abandoned. The personnel at CBS should re-think about the series and give it another chance as it has kept entertaining us for such the long time.

‘Without a Trace‘ debuted as a part of CBS fall schedule in 2002 and it is the same show, for which TNT Network agreed to pay US$ 1.4 per episode to acquire the syndication rights in 2003.

Even though season seven included all the elements of power game, the viewer ship decreased to 12.2 million. Perhaps that is why the network took the drastic decision of axing the series, despite the fact that it was an all time favorite amongst the audiences.

It is really sad that even the presence of international actors like Poppy Montgomery (playing Samantha Spade), Anthony LaPaglia (playing Jack Melone) and the Golden Globe nominated actress Marianne Jean-Baptiste (playing Vivian Johnson), could not save the show from cancellation.

According to reports CBS has placed Without a Trace TV show on the chopping block along with another procedural show Cold Case. And no, the criminal this time around is not the ratings of the show. In fact, this decision of the network has been kicked off by the nosedive the American economy has taken. CBS, which is fighting to become America’s Most Watched Network, is also aiming at proving itself to be America’s Most Cost-Efficient Network. And it is because of this that they have reportedly decided to axe two of their most costly shows, one of them being Without a Trace.

If the authorities at CBS were to be believed, Without a Trace episodes, even after drawing great general numbers, does not have the type of ratings that justify the massive overhead, spent into the creation of the show.

In addition, the show does not attract hip and young audiences and lacks the capability to gain the attention of money-spenders which is driving away the advertisers as they do not feel confident that the Without a Trace series will help increase their market for fast cars, pheromone-pumping body spray, or anything that may cause dentures to fall out on the show. But by saying so, I believe that the CBS is itself adding fuel to the firing controversy of the networks serving to needs and tastes of the audiences in the age group of 18-49, rather than an overall audience base.

Without a Trace is one my most favorite shows and I am feeling really angry and helpless about the show being cancelled. I have watched every single episode across the past 6 seasons and have not missed even a single episode of the current season that is Season 7. It is really shameful that a great show should be cancelled just because some people believe that it does not deserve to be continued and needs to be replaced with some crap drama or reality show. But what about the millions of fans who want Without A Trace Seasons to continue airing? Is the network not being unfair with the majority of people who love the show? I hope someone has the answers for this!

‘Without a Trace‘ star, Anthony LaPaglia, was injured while he was shooting for his upcoming movie named ‘Balibo’. According to the film sources, he was hurt when an explosive device, especially designed to simulate a gunshot, discharged into his arm. It was a scene where Anthony’s character was going to be shot and rather than exploring outwards, the device exploded into his arm. So, the man was badly injured.

As a result, shooting was put on halt and he was immediately taken to nearby Royal Darwin Hospital, in order to provide him medical treatment. Well, you guys need not to worry too much as he’s okay now and is back to work. Yeah, of course, fans’ wishes saved him.

As of now, he can be seen in ‘Without a Trace’. In ‘Without a Trace’, he portrays Sr. Agent Jack Malone. He is one of the very intelligent agents and works hard to investigate all the hidden truths to unravel the mysteries. ‘Without a Trace‘ returned with seventh season on Sep. 23 08 and season’s opening episode was entitled ‘Closure’. Did you watch this episode? If you’re gonna answer ‘no’, then, I have to say that you’ve missed an excellent season-opener.

As I was eagerly waiting for the seventh season of series so it was not possible for me to skip the season opener. I was in front of my TV, exactly at 9:50 PM. Me, mama and my brother- we enjoyed it a lot. Episode was so good that I could not stop my self from writing the review. Here’s the review of ‘Closure’-

Episode opens with Agent Jack Malone who has been demoted. He is feeling the loss of his power and is also trying to adjust with his new boss along with the rest of the team. We see that Samantha is back, after giving birth to her baby and her return was a very thrilling moment of the episode (at least for me).

Hey! Another development of the episode and the season is here- a new boss, Agent Clark Medina. He is played by Steven Weber, the man who played Jack Rudolph in ‘Studio 60′. Initially, he behaves in an irritating manner and also ignores Jack Malone which becomes discouraging for Jack.

The one who goes missing in this episode is, Ryan Mitchell. His daughter went missing several years ago and he never managed to get her back. Ryan believes that she’s still alive and continues his search. One day he angrily confronts a man in a street and goes missing after that. While investigating the case, Missing Persons’ Squad comes to know that he’s helping another couple to locate their missing son. And the search goes on.

I really, really liked this episode as a Season opener. A new boss is introduced; let’s see how it’d affect the rest of the season…. The complete episode is available here to download.
